The Smith & Wesson Model 19-9, specifically the Performance Center Carry Comp variant with a 3-inch barrel, is a modern, high-performance evolution of the classic K-frame "Combat Magnum" designed for concealed carry and home defense. The integral compensator (PowerPort) at the end of the barrel vents gases upward, significantly taming the recoil of full-power .357 Magnum loads. Combines a carbon steel frame and cylinder with a stainless steel barrel, finished in a matte black or bead-blasted "glass bead" finish for low reflectivity. .357 Magnum
