The Ruger American has turned out to be one of the best bargains in an ordinary hunting rifle since Savage built their Model 100. They have proven themselves in the field with good accuracy, reliability, and durability. This one is cera-coat barrel, black synthetic stock, uber-soft rubber recoil pad, and detachable 4-round flush fit magazine. It does not appear to have been fired much, if at all, and should give many years of service. .308 Winchester
