"Serial no. 1909b. Manufactured in 1890 by V.C. Schilling, chambered in 7.92x57mm,18"" round barrel. The bore is good with strong rifling noted. Serial numbers are matching and the carbine remains in its original caliber, as there is no “S" marking indicating conversion for the S-Patrone cartridge introduced in 1903. The barrel finish is thinning to a grey patina with the receiver showing a smooth light grey patina. Factory markings remain sharp and well-defined. The stock shows light handling impressions. The action is smooth and functions correctly.
