Description:
**NICE** Remington 742 mfg in 1977. 30-06 Spfd. 22" barrel. Bore is as new. This nice semi-auto appears to have had very few, IF ANY, rounds thru it. Bluing is 99.5%.One fine little scratch above magazine by serial #. Wood would be 99% if not for a few dings on right rear of forearm. Thus , I will call it 95%. This rifle was obviously set up for close range brush hunting with a Williams scope mount allowing a full unobstructed view of your iron sights. Tasco 3-9x32 scope sits in that mount. clear and bright with duplex reticle. Would make a great whitetail, bear, moose, pig gun. Price is great for condition of this gun. If you don't like the scope setup, take it off, plug the mount holes and go straight irons, or put a conventional scope mount on top.
