Springfield Armory M1 Garand SN: 1068507 (12/1942).
Item insured and shipped in new hard case. 3 day inspection, returns to be insured and shipped in original hard case.
Purchased from CMP 8/1997. Sent to Springfield, Inc., Geneseo, IL 9/1997 for their “M1 Garand upgrade Ultra Match package #2”.
This included a Douglas heavy air gauged Ultra Match barrel, NM front and rear sight, new stock, action glass bedded, match tuned trigger,
parkerized and chriogenics. Excelent condition. I have fired only several hundred rounds.
Stock looks a little dry.
The barreled receiver is hard to remove from the stock. Originally, Springfield Inc told me to send the rifle back to them for service
and/or cleaning. I did send it back for service/cleaning several times. It has loosened up over the years but still a chore to get it apart.
