An original AW Peterson era 1935 22 LR offhand Schuetzen rifle. A Ballard engraved #6 centerfire action, nice with Buffalon left side, Whitetail buck on right side. Unbeliavable stock work and beautiful flame walnut .Everything from the custom ratchet style rear hook ,the Mother of Pearl inlay to add some class to the ivory ball and spur makes this a one of a kind museum quality piece of art. I named this gun "Gorgeous Ugly" The intricate woodwork and action to the bore being canted to make this centerfire into a rimfire. But now we look at the ""Ugly" There are multiple screw holes on the top of the barrel! Its a mess. A barrel smith said he could fill them all in and bring this barrel back to original.and totally refurb and color case action. I decided to leave be and leave the character and history in this gun. It has been one of the most accurate 22's I have owned. Has one alot of matches offhand and bench.It turns heads and brings shooters over like a magnet to steel to marvel at this gun I am to old anymore to hold this gun up and shoot it well...so time to let it go so it can keep shooting instead of packed away in a gun safe.
