Production & Rarity: Released in 1970, with a total production run of roughly 38,385 to 55,259 units (combined rifle and carbine versions). They are identifiable by an \"LS\" prefix in the serial number (LS1–LS55259).
Finish & Appearance: The rifle features a striking,, shiny gold-plated receiver, lever, forearm cap, and crescent-shaped buttplate.
Barrel & Sights: It generally features a 26-inch half-round/half-octagonal barrel (on the rifle version) or a 20-inch barrel (on the carbine version), often with \"LONE STAR COMMEMORATIVE\" inscribed on the right side
