The Smith & Wesson Model 36-11 is a modern engineering variation of the classic "Chiefs Special," a compact J-frame revolver chambered in .38 Special. While the Model 36 has been in production since 1950, the "-11" engineering change typically denotes a version that incorporates the internal locking system (often called the "Hillary Hole") and a frame-mounted firing pin, which were standard for that production era. Caliber: .38 S&W Special +P. Capacity: 5 rounds in a swing-out cylinder. Barrel Length: 1.875 inches (often rounded to 1.88" or 2").
