Description:
Offered for sale is a 1943 German K98k marked “dou 43”, manufactured by Waffenwerke Brünn (Brno). A solid mid-war example from a desirable Czech production facility.
Serial number 8322j. Matching serial observed on barrel (under rear sight) and barrel bands. Bolt, floorplate, and bottom metal are mismatched, as commonly encountered on service rifles that saw post-war redistribution. Import marked.
This rifle is a non-Russian capture example, retaining original finish with no Soviet “X” stamp or shellac refinish. Stock is solid walnut with correct wartime configuration and shows honest handling wear consistent with age.
Metal finish remains intact with visible Waffenamt inspection marks. Overall condition presents well and displays properly as a representative WWII German service rifle.
Bore is dark with pronounced wear and the rifle is being offered primarily as a collectible military arm rather than a precision shooter.
Included is a WWII-era Rich. A. Herder S84/98 bayonet with scabbard. Bayonet is mismatched and shows heavy service wear.
