WINCHESTER MODEL 88 (PRE-64 Serial number 131396A) made in early 1962 in .308 Winchester caliber, lever action, 22 inch barrel, open sights with front hood, 4-round box magazine that looks like it has never been loaded, black butt plate, one-inch sling swivels, pristine factory bluing and spectacular one-piece pistol grip checkered walnut stock. The overall condition of this highly collectable, 100% factory original masterpiece is 99.999%...possibly never fired. The scope base screws have never been out of the receiver. The bore is bright and glossy as you would expect. The iconic Winchester Model 88 was made from 1955 thru 1973 in only 4 calibers and total units of 283,879. No rifle ever built feels as good on your shoulder as a Winchester Model 88. The POST-64 units were identified with a basketweave, machine tooled, walnut stock and serial number above 148,858.
