Description:
Manufactured July 1883, this Springfield 1873 Trapdoor rifle is in overall very good refinished condition. Notable finish loss/discoloration near muzzle and along left side of barrel. Pitting present at crown and breech, likely as a result of black powder corrosion. Repaired chip in stock just behind breech on the left side. Trapdoor opens, closes and locks without issue; trigger is heavy but crisp. .45-70 Government
