Description:
This Sweet 16 has been seasoned with years of field use chasing ND pheasants and sharptails. It's definitely lost much of it's original bluing but it remains in perfect operational condition. It handles and cycles just as it did when it came out of the box. The stock is sound with no cracks or chips to speak of, and retains the original butt plate. The forend has one small chip on the left sid near the receiver, but otherwise is sound. The receiver and barrel have 30% of the original color remaining. No rust or evidence of rust pitting, but there is some light freckling on the barrel mostly. The original Belgium Browning plastic plug is still with the gun.
The barrel is stamped "Browning Arms Co. St Louis Mo & Montreal Pq" and "Made in Belgium" on the left side and on the right side is stamped " * " indicating a full choke, along with "Special Steel 16ga 2 3/4"
For those who care about appearance, this would make a nice restoration project.
