Offered for sale is an outstanding collector example of the classic Smith & Wesson Model 19-3 Combat Magnum, one of the most respected American revolvers ever produced.
Developed in collaboration with legendary U.S. Border Patrol officer Bill Jordan, the Model 19 was designed to combine the manageable K-frame size with the power of the .357 Magnum cartridge. The result was a revolver that became one of the most widely carried law-enforcement sidearms in the United States during the second half of the twentieth century.
This revolver is the desirable Model 19-3 variant, produced during the Bangor Punta era of Smith & Wesson production.
Importantly, this revolver retains the classic Pinned Barrel and Recessed Cylinder (P&R) configuration that collectors seek. These manufacturing features were phased out by Smith & Wesson in the early 1980s and are widely considered hallmarks of the company’s traditional craftsmanship.
The revolver also features the highly desirable 2.5 inch barrel, a configuration favored by detectives and plain-clothes officers for concealed carry.

This revolver remains in excellent collector condition, retaining extremely high original factory blue. The revolver shows only light handling with a faint cylinder drag line and no visible holster wear at the muzzle or cylinder edges.
The factory target grips remain excellent with crisp checkering and intact medallions. Screw heads appear clean and unaltered.
The presence of the original box, wax paper, and factory paperwork significantly enhances collector desirability.
