Description:
Offered is an antique brass double--rame friction style belt buckle. This style of buckle was commonly used
on militarybelts and equipment belts during the late 19th century through the early 20th century.

The buckle features a rectangular double-frame design with two triangular teeth or friction points that grip
the belt material when tension is applied. This simple and durable design was widely used on military belts,
field gear straps, and equipment harness systems where reliability and quick adjustment were required.

Examples of similar buckles appear on a variety of military belts from the Spanish-American War period through
World War I and later field equipment. These buckles were typically produced in brass or bronze and were used
with canvas or leather belts.

Condition:
Good antique condition with honest surface wear and natural aged patina. The buckle remains solid with no
structural damage and displays well as a period piece of military equipment hardware.

Material: Brass
Type: Double frame friction belt buckle
Period: Late 19th -early 20th century
Use: Militarybelt / equipment belt hardware
