Description:
This example of the timeless Remington 870 has a date code of AZZ and an X suffix on the serial number, indicating manufacture in March of 1953, making it a very early 20 gauge on a full-size frame. The 26" barrel is a fixed SKEET choke setting, which was factory-original for quick handling when shooting skeet or upland hunting. The full vent rib with a silver mid bead and a brass front bead is a premium aftermarket installation by Simmons Gun Specialties of Kansas City, which was a common upgrade in that era since factory barrels with full vent ribs were not common. This is a well-equipped early skeet/upland specialist gun --- smooth, balanced, and upgraded by a top gunsmith of the day. It's in good used condition, the action is smooth, and the bore is bright. No box or case is included. 20 Gauge
