This barrel length is specifically chosen for this caliber to achieve the high muzzle velocities required for extreme-range accuracy and energy retention. The 26-inch barrel is bedded at the front and rear of the action to ensure a free-floating state that maintains consistent accuracy even as the barrel heats up.
