Description:
French Berthier Model 1907/15 bolt-action rifle, cal. 8×50mmR Lebel, made by Manufacture d’Armes de Saint-Étienne (MAS). Standard length long barrel and battle/ladder rear sight whose back surface graduated from 9-24, sight base numbered 4-8 with inspection marking. The clip-fed system, with a three-round internal magazine and open-bottom clip ejection. The left receiver is marked “St Étienne Mle 1907/15,” with the serial number 69457 stamped on the left side of the barrel shank, trigger guard extension, and repeated on the bolt handle and the left side of the buttstock. Full-length military stock with finger grooves, a circular cartouche on the right side of the buttstock dated August 1916, along with additional inspection and sub-inspector marks consistent with wartime production and military service. Unmarked reproduction sling. Overall condition, is fair-good; with a bit of rust on the lever along and handler marks.
