Description: The Magnum Research Desert Eagle in .44 Magnum is an iconic, gas-operated semi-automatic pistol renowned for its massive size and "hand-cannon" power. Unlike most pistols, it uses a rifle-style gas-piston system and a rotating bolt, allowing it to reliably cycle powerful magnum cartridges that would typically overwhelm standard recoil-operated designs. This is a Single-Action Only (SAO), gas-operated semi-automatic pistol. It features a rotating three-lug bolt that provides positive lock-up for enhanced accuracy. Despite its powerful chambering, the Desert Eagle is often described as having manageable recoil. Its substantial weight and gas-piston system absorb a significant portion of the kick, making it feel less punishing than many magnum revolvers. It is equipped with ambidextrous slide-mounted safety levers that block the firing pin and disconnect the trigger when engaged. Modern Mark XIX models feature an integral Picatinny-style rail on the barrel for mounting optics. The Mark XIX platform allows for quick caliber conversion (e.g., to .50 AE or .357 Magnum) by swapping the barrel, magazine, and sometimes the bolt assembly. .44 Magnum SOLD Chambers: Semi-Auto Metal Condition: Excellent Condition Wood Condition: Stippled Finger Grooved Rubber Grips Bore Condition: Excellent Condition Barrels: 5" Barrel Weight: 3 1/2 lbs.
