The Smith & Wesson M&P 40 Shield M2.0 with a 4-inch barrel is a Performance Center offering that extends the original subcompact design to provide a longer sight radius and improved recoil management for the .40 S&W cartridge. While the standard Shield M2.0 features a 3.1-inch barrel, this 4-inch version is optimized for shooters who want a "long-slide" feel in a slim, concealable frame. The M2.0 series introduced a much more aggressive stippling that provides a secure hold even with the snappier recoil of the .40 caliber round. Natural Point of Aim Features a signature 18-degree grip angle designed to mimic the natural pointing characteristics of traditional service pistols. Slim Profile Maintains the thin, single-stack width (roughly 1 inch), making it much easier to conceal than the double-stack M&P40 Compact. .40 S&W
