Description:
Luxembourg first contract rifle chambered in 30-06. Features a 24" barrel with a rear sight slider for range and a front post with protective wings. All matching numbers, receiver, bolt, carrier, dust cover, barrel and stock. Luxembourg ordered it's first contract for 4000 rifles in 1950. These were serial numbered 1001-5000. All were semi auto, no cross bolt lug and no dovetail cut receiver for a scope mount. Leaving an ecstatically pleasing “slab-side” look with FNH text. Fires with a gas-piston system. The gas can be adjusted by removing the hand guard to expose the gas block. This allows the shooter to fine tune the gas to shoot specific ammo.
A soft shooting battle rifle that will make you leave your Garand at home. Rifle is not import marked. These came in prior to 1968.
