Description: Guns Listing ID: 637586 ***USED firearm please see photos for detail*** The Type 14 Nambu is a Japanese semi-automatic service pistol introduced in 1926 (Year 14 of the Taisho era) and used as the primary sidearm for officers during World War II. It is a recoil-operated, striker-fired pistol chambered in 8 mm Nambu, feeding from an 8-round magazine. From 1927, it was a standard issue sidearm for officers and was being sold for 78 yen by 1939. It is believed that around 400,000 Type 14 Nambu pistols were produced, but the exact number is unknown, as Japanese soldiers considered their weapons property of The Emperor. Many soldiers chose to destroy their pistols or throw them into the ocean to avoid them falling into enemy hands. This is a very nice example with little wear. Includes original holster (incomplete) as well as 50 rounds of ammunition. -AB SOLD Manufacturer: KOISHIKAWA ARSENAL Model: NAMBU TYPE 14 Caliber Info: 8MM Condition: Used - Non-Certified Barrels: 4.6" BARREL Action: SEMI AUTOMATIC |
