Description: This 1957 Belgium Browning Auto 5 is a semi auto shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. This Browning has a 27.5" barrel with fixed Mod choke and a 2 3/4"" chamber. The front sight is a bead on a checkered ventilated step rib. The top of the receiver serrated. The left side of the barrel is marked "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST LOUIS Mo, & MONTREAL P.Q. / SPECIAL STEEL-12 GAUGE - SHELLS 2 3/4". The right side of the barrel is marked "MADE IN BELGIUM". The receiver and 6" of the barrel are deep relief engraved with decorative scroll and game scenes. The left side shows 3 ducks in flight, two of the ducks are missing the inlaid silver. The right side shows a pheasant in flight with a dog. The dogs tail is the only silver inlay intact. The stocks are a two-piece checkered walnut set with a round pistol grip, straight comb, finger groove forend, and a Pachmyr textured recoil pad. 12 Gauge SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Chambers: 2 3/4" chamber. Metal Condition: Has been refinished and engraved. The majority of the finish remains with some fine corrosion on the bottom of the frame by the serial number. A few scattered corrosion freckles here and there on the surface. Wood Condition: "The majority of the top coat is worn off with a few minimal marks in the surface. The checkering is also well matted. The stock shows various nicks, scratches, and the top coat coming off on both side , but the right has the most. Bore Condition: Bright bore with great surface.
