Description:
Nice 1895 repro from Browning, done up using modern materials and methods, to make a rifle that is arguably better than the original. The 1895 was developed to take advantage of the high performance cartridges of the day by using a box magazine rather than the tubular magazine, thus preventing the sharp spitzer bullets from resting nose to primer. The rifles themselves were much favored by many people including Teddy Roosevelt and Pancho Villa. Teddy carried one that was chambered for .405 Winchester that he termed his "lion medicine." .30-06 Springfield
