Description:
The Model 1936 is the original designation for the Model 36 and 336, and was derived from the Marlin Model 1893. This one has "been around the block" for about 90 years, and yet is in surprisingly good condition for its age. It appears mechanically sound, and the rifling is the original Ballard style, pre-dating the Microgroove development. There are a number of cosmetic issues, and the butt plate is a Marlin but appears to be made of plastic. I does have the "Bullseye" inset on the stock. .30-30 Winchester

Metal Condition: "Fair. There is quite a bit of surface discoloration, fading, and shallow pitting. Blue is estimated at 50%, case color on the receiver is a bit discernible.
Wood Condition: "Fair to good. This may have been refinished at some point, but maybe not. There is a ""raw"" appearance to the grain. The stock does have a number of scratches, but no cracks.
Bore Condition: Shiny and bright with crisp rifling.

Triggers: Factory trigger.
