Wonderful Waffenfabrik Bern K31 Privat Series Commercial rifle with a special order fully adjustable rear sight, matching magazine, and an original, matching, 300 meter factory test target, dated 5 July 1963.

Description:

Standard configuration Waffenfabrik Bern K31 straight pull Privat Series rifle caliber 7.5x55 Swiss caliber, SN: P400475, with 25.67" barrel, windage adjustable front sight, and special order rear sight graduated 1-5 with a fine tune adjustment for both windage and elevation. Standard cross and shield on top of receiver. Full serial number on the left side of receiver with "P" (commercial) prefix, the full serial number repeated on the bolt and on the bottom of the magazine with the last three digits stamped on the barrel. Smooth walnut military stock with cartouche on the right side of the butt, the stamping breaking the finish. On the upper handguard are two red shooting competition stickers, one from Lucerne dated 1979, the other from Biel/Bienne dated 1983. Military sling dated "44". Included is an original certified factory test target, 300 meters, dated 5 July 1963.

Condition:

Near excellent original finish rifle with 97-98% factory original blue. The stock is in comparable condition with a scattering of light handling marks as one might expect from a 60 year old rifle that was used competitively, as reflected by the shooting stickers affixed to the handguard. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. VG sling with oil darkening and scuffing. Factory test target with minor staining and fading.
