Description:
Colt Model 1851 Percussion Revolver Factory Engraved 36 cal Bore VG, Mech Exc tight action, Original ivory Grips VG plus with right side having a brass inlay image of a chief I think. Has an original 7 1/2” Oct barrel with small brass sight and One line Hartford address marking mostly visible. The wedge is not numbered but appears as old as the gun. The frame has the serial#91893 matching Mfg’d 1860. The cylinder has faint markings the last 2 digits 93 of the serial number. The brass backstrap and trigger guard also have matching numbers and are engraved. The frame and barrel have scroll pattern engraving including the hammer and loading lever. The barrel and frame connection is excellent so the entire pistol is tight and mechanically excellent. Metal overall has a dark aged patina finish with some fine pitting and surface rust.
