Lee Enfield BSA Shirley Jungle gun, 1945, No. 5 MK I M/47C. This has been sportorized; it has a replacement stock and forearm, the rear sight has been removed, a newer Williams rear sight has been added, and a newer front sight has also been added, the flash hider and bayonet lug have been removed. The stock appears to be handmade; it has a lot of tool marks, rough places and gaps. The metal is worn and may have some rust patches. The serial number is hard to read, and you have to hold it at an angle and use a loupe or magnifying glass to see it. The top of the butt stock is really rough feeling and so is the bottom of the butt stock. There is no piece on the end of the buttstock just a limbsaver rubber cover.
