Description:
Here we have a antique 1895 Marlin. Made in yjre year 1896. Chambered in the powerful 45-90 WCF cartridge. It has a 26" octagon barrel, full magazine tube, cresent butt. Rifle has the standard Marlin sights. This Rifle has been used, there are 18 carved slashes of succes on the under side of the forearm. Rifle functions as it should, mecanically sound. On Feb. 17th 2026 I ran 4 rounds through her and she functioned just fine. The bore has some pitting and roughness to her. She still has strong rifeling all the way through the barrel. The wood has handeling marks and scrapes. There are spots of varnish left on the butt stock with some of the varnish coming off. Most of the varnish is gone from the forearm. The barrel has good consistant blueing on it . The mag tube is missing its blue starting to turn plumb. The case coloring on the reciever, trigger and hammer has turned gray, going to plumb also. Please look at the pictures. I have to start thinning out some of the herd. Also getting listed is a 1895 45-70 pistol grip with checked stocks
