Description:
This P6 is a Cold War era law enforcement surplus pistol that once belonged to the Nordrhein Westfalen (NW proof mark) police in West Germany. It was built in September of 1981 (9/81 proof mark). Its double action trigger was designed to be set at 24 pounds for safety. Another important safety feature is the unique-looking deformation spur hammer, which would let the department's armory know if the gun had been dropped on its hammer and thus would require a thorough inspection. It's in good shape, with remarkably little wear. The action is smooth and the bore is bright. It comes with the original factory box and 4 magazines. One magazine does not have the SIG SAUER logo but is specifically marked "P6" and "9x19" on the base plate, indicating that it was the police-issued magazine. 9mm Luger
