Antique US Model 1884 Springfield Trapdoor 45/70 caliber sporting rifle. Metal is very good with a smooth mostly blue (fading in places) Finnish. The barrel his 28" with a good bore and both front and rear sights. The nice wood stock shows a cartouche and has been shortened to carbine length. The action and lock function fine.
