Offered here for sale and just acquired is one of the finer examples of this model Smith & Wesson as we have had in awhile.
This is one of the most desirable pre-war target revolvers Smith & Wesson ever made—the Smith & Wesson K-22 Outdoorsman. This serial number falls squarely in the pre-war K-frame range with this serial: 676,457 that places it very solidly in late 1938 to early 1939 production.
It has a 6" barrel (standard & most desirable configuration) , original red factory box (huge premium) Near-unfired condition , Mint bore & grips and only minor cylinder line small patina spot . In addition it has been outfitted by the factory with a lanyard ring which we believe was a custom order. We have seen or read about a very examples just like this.This is collector-grade, bordering on investment-grade. Pre-war K-22s are widely considered among the finest .22 revolvers ever made—hand-fitted, beautifully blued, and extremely accurate.
