Description:
As new Pre Ban 1987 Springfield Armory SAR-48 import FAL in Semi-Auto. Made in Brazil at the Imbel Factory on FN Tooling. Forged type III Receiver, Bipod cut hand guards and a beautiful black finish. These rifles were marked “Match” as a marketing gimmick to sell the public and politicians of the era. They are indeed battle rifles. This is the “Bush” variant features a 17.3" barrel. It's basically the paratrooper barrel with a full, fixed stock. A very handy rifle and really the sweet spot for the 7.62, .308 Win.
This rifle is un-fired outside of the factory in my opinion and still is in all the factory grease. The box is not original to this rifle. I added it, BUT it is an original, correct box for this rifle. The manual is the better of the two that were available back in the day. So, a pretty nice and rare packaged rifle. SA dates the gun to October of 1987 and did leave as a “Bush” configured FAL.
