Description:
24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 38 WCF caliber with a good bore that shows good rifling and shine with a few scattered light pits. Barrel and full length magazine tube have had the finish removed. There is some pitting on the outside of the barrel. Sights include a blade front and typical sporting rear. Receiver has also had the finish removed a while ago and is a dull gray color. Loading gate is gray. Hammer and lever have traces of case colors with the balance turning gray. Crisp action. Walnut forearm is in good condition. Buttstock has some handling mars with a rifle style buttplate. Manufactured in 1901. Should be a good shooter or a good candidate for a restoration project.
