JP Sauer & Son Model “10" 16 Ga. Serial No. 258996 with 1/35 proof
date. Caveman logo on rear of rib.
Made for the European market....note "Sohn"as apposed to "Son"
Unusual and very seldom encountered model with the hidden Purdey style
3rd bite fastener on the breechface. "Hurkules-Verschuss" modified Purdey nose.
Barrel and stock measurements: bright untampered-with bores, 28 3/8" barrels, 65mm chambers....the
shadetree gunsmiths haven't cobbled up the chambers yet! Leave them original
and shoot.....somehow the experts have convinced a bunch of
"Nimrods" that 1/8" of an inch makes one damn bit of difference.
Chokes L/R .022/.019 1Bores .664" both barrels.
DAC 1 5/8" DAH 2 3/4" Top sears and ejectors. Proof date 1/35
LOP 14 1/8" weight 6lbs even.Condition: Perfect bright bores.
No repairs, buffing or sanding to wood. I included a photo of my bore diameter
chart.....copy it for future reference if you like.
