For your Consideration , Auguste Francotte 410 , This is a Nice Field Grade Francotte ,I believe this is the lowest Grade Francotte side by side that Francotte built ! It is stamped " Francotte Maker and Patentee on each side of the receiver and is also stamped on the outside of the Barrels Auguste Francotte on the Left Barrel and Maker Leige Belgium on the Right side and a series of Proof marks on the Barrel Flats ! This is a Great shooting little 410 and patterns fantastic ! When I bought the gun the bores were not shiny so I sent the gun to Dean Harris " Skeets "to take a look at the bores , they had some pitting which Dean remedied immediately and sent her back home ,the bores are nice and shiny , there are a few very minor marks right in front of the chambers, the gun has a clean bill of health and choked perfectly at IC in the right Barrel and Full in the left locks up tight with a Greener style lock and ready for another life time of shooting ! This 410 Francotte has 28" Barrels with 2 3/4" Chambers so it does not shoot 3" Shells the barrels are tipped with a Brass Bead ,no dents in the barrels and there are no cracks in the wood , Straight English Stock the checkering is Beautiful and the gun is nice and tight and on face ! The measurements are as follows , DAC 1 3/8 ,DAH is 2 5/8 and the LOP is 14 1/4 ! There is a very small chip in the barrel extension you can see in the picture that shows the Opening Lever and safety Lever ! The stock finish appears to have less finish wear as the metal finish and may have been touched up some where in this guns life time ,the metal finish in the pictures show more wear than the wood has and darkened colors than I suspect the actual case color hues would have been ! This is not a show piece but it functions as it should ,there is a little trip lever on the forend that needs to be in the up position for the forend to snap on if it is down the forend wont go on and when you remove the forend the oiece moves freely so I always check it before inserting the forend !
