The Steyr Mannlicher Model M (where "M" stands for Medium action) in .30-06 Springfield is a classic Austrian bolt-action sporting rifle known for its elegant design and high-precision engineering. The 23.6" barrel version is the standard "Half Stock" or "Rifle" configuration, providing a longer sight radius and higher muzzle velocity compared to the 20" carbine models. Steyr's signature bolt action featuring rear locking lugs (six lugs total) and a low 60° to 70° bolt lift, allowing for fast cycling and low-profile scope mounting. A unique detachable rotary magazine (5-round capacity for .30-06), which fits flush with the stock.
