The Winchester Model 101 XTR is a classic over & under shotgun manufactured in Japan by the Olin-Kodensha factory during the late 1970s and 1980s. The "XTR" designation stands for "Extra," representing an upgraded series that featured refined finishes, more elaborate engraving. A robust steel boxlock action with a low profile for improved handling. The XTR series features a silver/nickel-finished receiver with detailed game-scene or scroll engraving. The Model 101 is legendary for its fast, instinctive handling and slim profile, making it a favorite for upland bird hunting and sporting clays. These guns were built by Olin-Kodensha and are often cited as having superior fit and finish compared to modern mass-produced shotguns. 12 Gauge
