Harrington & Richardson did a beautiful job with their modern reproduction of the U.S. Springfield Trap Door Rifle and Carbine. This example is a carbine, with the shorter barrel and saddle ring for use by mounted soldiers. It's been very well cared for and shows almost no wear on it.
