Please read descriptions and terms, I will endeavor to be accurate. Description: This is a good looking rifle by Weatherby. It is a Weatherby Vanguard, one of the earlier ones that used the same type of highly figured walnut used on the famous Mark V Deluxe rifles. I actually have seen many Mark Vs that are not this pretty. It has a very clean Redfield 3-9 Wideview scope with a duplex reticle, mounted in Buehler Rings and bases. I was a Weatherby dealer in the 80s and I remember that you could order a rifle and a scope from Weatherby and they would mount it for you in your choice of mounts. II remember that Buehler and Conetrol were a couple of the choices available. Buehler has always been my favorite. Even though they were made in California, they have an "Old World" look to them and they work great. This is a hunting rifle and it has been used. It was well taken care of, but shows a few scratches and dings, The famous Weatherby deluxe high gloss plastic finish has a few cracks in it. I have tried to show that in the photos. The metal is very good with a minor blemish on the top of the barrel and some minor muzzle wear. The bore is excellent, and there are no dings on the muzzle. There is a social security number scratched into the floorplate that is not deep and could probably polished and re-blued to remove it. Since this is not an expensive rifle, I would just ignore it and go hunting. It is chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum and would be capable of taking any North American game as well as all African Plains game. Ammunition is readily available and is usually priced lower than other more exotic, (but not more effective) calibers. The original owner replaced the Weatherby recoil pad years ago because it got hardened and cracked. He put a Pachmayr ventilated one that closely matched the original. The stock was not cut. It is a requirement that every used firearm is inspected by a qualified gunsmith before firing. RETURN POLICY- All firearms come with a 3-day non firing, no-tinkering with (turning screws, taking apart, removing parts, scoping. firing, cleaning or altering in any way) inspection/return privilege. Inspection is based on a visual review of the firearm to confirm that it is in the condition stated. In the case of a return, the buyer pays all shipping charges both ways. Please ask questions. Return Policy Guidelines of GunsInternational  Unless the buyer and seller agree to modify, as may be the case in a new gun, layaway, international sales and for used guns and accessories it must be clearly marked in the listing as No Return, the return policy is three (3) calendar days from the day the item(s) are received by the buyer or delivered to the FFL acting for the buyer.   The item may be returned for any reason, but the buyer must notify the seller within the three (3) calendar day inspection period.  The buyer must start the return within the next four (4) calendar days to receive a complete refund, less all shipping, transaction fees and FFL charges.  On a return the buyer must not remove the firearm from the FFL premises without approval of the seller.  Once the firearm has been received by the seller and inspected a prompt refund will be issued.  Shipping must start within one week of receipt of the item(s).  The return shipping must be of equal shipping level, including insurance i.e... Priority, Express, Blue Label etc.  The return item MUST be in the same condition as when shipped to the buyer.  This is an inspection period only, a gun is not to be fired or disassembled.  Sellers written permission is required to allow the buyer to take down a takedown model during the inspection period. Upon the receipt and inspection of the returned gun, the seller agrees to issue a prompt refund.
