This firearm is in fair to good condition considering age and wear and tear. The blued finish is worn in areas thinning to brown luster. All working parts can fire effectively; not all original parts (which determines the \"Fair\" rating), rear sight and the saddle ring were replaced (although the saddle ring mount is original). Original wood stock, with rear stock in good condition with minimal blemishes and wear. Front sight was slightly bent but we were able to push it back into alignment. Barrel is clean with no marring or pitting, with smooth rifling. Some repair work was evidently done on the rear stock with filler (repairs are older). Foreguard does have what appears to be a surface crack in the wood on the left side of the grip but it does not affect function, crack not deep enough to hinder operation. Manufacture year is mid 1908.
