Manufactured for Sears by Savage Arms prior to World War II, this is the retail equivalent of the famous Savage Model 6 or Stevens Model 87. It is affectionately known by collectors as a "Gill Gun" due to the distinct ventilation slots on the left side of the receiver, and a "click-clack" gun because of its highly unique action. When fired in semi-auto mode, the bolt stays locked to the rear until the trigger is released. Furthermore, the bolt handle can be pushed inward to lock the action completely, allowing it to be fired as a manual single-shot bolt-action rifle. It features a 24-inch barrel and an overall length of 44 inches. Condition is Fair. Please note that while the tubular magazine is functional, the inner mechanism currently sticks a little.
