Description:
This is a first year (1996) production gun. This Ruger Model Ninety-Six is a lever-action rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. It has 18-inch barrel and a 10 round rotary magazine. Rifle will come with "see thru" or "see under" scope rings, but no scope is included. The rifle is built with a walnut stock and a blued steel finish. Adjustable sights are fitted, including a rear flip-up assembly.
This rifle is used. The bore condition is excellent, with strong rifling and bright interior surfaces. The bluing shows very minor marks consistent with handling, and the walnut stock has smooth surfaces with a a couple tiny handling marks but no scratches. The rear sight has some type of impact mark on the side which appears to be from the factory while installing the rear sight. The area has blueing consistent with the rest of the rifle, so it is likely the gun came from the factory this way.
