About Us: I have had great luck in my sales through "GUNS INTERNATIONAL". This is the only site I use and do not plan to change.

Description:
This German made Pin Fire Cape Cape Gun has a 14mm rifle barrel on the right and an 18 guage shotgun barrel on the left. Euopean makers used this configuration, while English makers put the rifle barrel on the left side.  The barrels are damascus and the 29 inch barrels have excellent bores.  This is the advantage of not being able to obtain the proper ammunition, The gun has a while line fixed rear sight and a barley corn front sight.  It has the Lefaucheux actionwith a double bite lockup. This gun was made in the 1850-1860 era.  By design the cartridge was fired by a pin extending from the back end of the round.  This results in the possability for the round to fire if dropped or misshandled,  As a result sailors and other carriers would refuse to transport the ammunition, resulting in the short life of this ammunition. The cartriges in the pictures are examples of pin fire cartridges.
