Description:
Sharps Civil War .52 Caliber, 30 inch round barrel secured by three barrel bands, blued and case color finish. This is a single shot percussion breech loading Sharps Rifle with barley corn combination and socket Bayonet front sight and Lawrence Ladder Rear sight, It has all of the proper markings on the action and barrel. The Lawrence Automatic Primer Mechanism is working. The cartouches on the stock are hard to read, but present. It has all of the proper MNM inspector stamps for Moses N Marshall on the barrel and various other locations. It has a very good bore with some oxidation in front of the chamber with the remainder of the barrel with clean strong clean rifling. The receiver Has a good amount of the original case colors with the remainder turning to French Gray and a Brown patina. The blue on the barrel is strong and the case colors on the barrel bands have turned to French Gray.. The stock shows moderate wear and a few bumps along with some old added finish. Check this very well preserved gun out via the ZOOM.
