Description:
Colt Pre-War Detective Special chambered in 38 Special with a factory original blue finish. Also included is the original box numbered to the gun and rare factory test target. This is a high condition, collector grade package assembly in the summer of 1933. The oven blue finish still retains a deep dark shine. There are very few signs of handling or use. The action is crisp, lock up is tight, and the bore is clean with strong lands and grooves. The factory Walnut grips are excellent with sharp checkering throughout. A Colt Archive Letter is included. The box is in good condition for it's age, with all corners intact. Over the past several years I've sold off the majority of my Detective Special collection (over 40 in all), and these last few examples were some of the very finest it's been my pleasure to own. Upgrading this 92-year-old package will be difficult. Price includes free shipping CONUS.
