This is a Post WWII, Pre-Model 10 Smith & Wesson M&P revolver manufactured circa 1949 featuring the square butt and the desirable short 2" barrel. The barrel and frame retain virtually all, 98-99% of the original blue finish with the cylinder showing cleaned surface oxidation that left very fine pitting through the finish. The serrated trigger and finely checked hammer show trace amounts of the original case-colors. The diamond walnut grips with S&W monograms are numbered to the gun showing mild handling marks. It functions well mechanically with a tight lock up. It comes in an original gold and blue S&W box which shows some moisture effects especially on the metal corners with separation on one corner. A very nice example of this desirable early Post War 38 Military and Police revolver. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
