Description:
This 28 caliber Colts Patent bullet mold is extremely rare and early, and has brass legs. The very early features are a Colts Patent without an apostrophe and it is also stamped with an early, broken die that makes the P very light. The later Colt Root molds were 31 caliber with a new die and a different Colts Patent font. The later ones also had iron legs.
This is a very rare and collectible Colt item in fine condition which would make a great addition to any pre-Civil War Colt collection.
