A Very Early & Scarce 1850's Civil War Deluxe Large Field Medical Kit Made By "ELSER" In Very Fine Untouched Condition. All original throughout. The large medical kit has two large sections as shown. The one on the top has a cover that locks over it. This large kit has many instruments that you don't usually see in these sets. These large field kits could be used all injuries in battles including amputations. All of the instruments are marked "ELSER" on them. There are a few small minor items that are missing in the kit that can be replaced easily. All of the major instruments are present in the kit as shown. The kit measures 18 3/4 inches long, and 18 1/2 inches wide when its open. Closed it is 9 1/4 inces wide & 4 inches high. The large leather bound case is in fine condition throughout. These Large Civil War Medical Kits Are Very Hard To Come By Especially With This Many Instruments Inside Them. This Very Fine & Scarce Civil War Large Field Medical Kit By "ELSER" Would Be A Wonderful Addition To Any Fine Civil War Collection!
