Description:
The Springfield Armory XD-E in 9mm Luger is a slim, single-stack, hammer-fired pistol designed to offer the safety and control of a double-action/single-action (DA/SA) system in a compact carry format. Though now discontinued, it remains a popular choice for those who prefer an external hammer over striker-fired alternatives. The DA/SA trigger provides a long, heavy first pull (approx. 8–11 lbs) followed by a short, crisp single-action pull (approx. 4.5–5.5 lbs) for subsequent shots. It is 1-inch width makes it significantly thinner than double-stack compacts, though it is slightly taller and longer than most "micro-compacts" due to its hammer assembly. The 9mm variant is noted for manageable recoil and minimal muzzle flip, aided by a dual captive recoil spring and full-length guide rod. .45 Auto
