Remington Model 722 bolt action rifle with a 22 inch barrel and chambered in .244 REM. The 722 was the first truly modern centerfire rifle with the strongest bolt ever developed. Short action version of Model 721. Made from 1948 until 1962. Approximately 117,751 were produced. This example is missing the front sight. Finish is still good and the rifle shows normal wear. .244 Remington
